I am so aware of it, yet It`s my biggest struggle.

What was your favorite thing from the past week?

Xo Lora

It’s that time of year… yeah girls you know what I mean, prom gowns, matching shoes, stressing about hair and makeup, I don`t even mention the perfect date :)

I`ve relived all these helping my little sis for her prom : she`s so anxious, nervous, yet happy with this event. For me it`s just beautiful to remember how I used to panick about it :)

Now, don’t forget about what goes in your purse or clutch. Most of you don’t even think about these little things until they’re rushing out the door. So, to avoid another reason to stress about, here you go :

My prom check list :

lipstick / lip gloss

powder compact  ( to touch up unwanted shine before taking pictures!)

i.d. card

cash

phone

paper tissues

keys

bobby pins

safety pins

condoms ( not encouraging you to it, but If you really make that choice, it`s a must!!!! )

Have fun!

I was asserting in the  previous post my passion for the nude trend. I love nude in everything  from makeup, to nails, lingerie, casual outfits to the most romantic, delicate , sensual  gowns.

Here are some of my favorite nude looks over the years :

Once again Demi Moore :

And Keira Knightley in this ivory, modeled in pearls across the sleeves and most of the torso outfit by Chanel :

Also, Chanel makes one of the most beautiful shades when it comes to our nails :

And I couldn`t end this post without mentioning  the famous nude Louboutins :

What trends are you most passionate about?

Have you watched the Oscars last night? I gotta say, this year  was quite predictable and I actually have no disappointment- those who I was expecting to win, took  home  the Oscar. I really admire Colin Firth, I think he`s a brilliant actor and I consider Natalie Portman a talented actress and a beautiful human being. Her speech made me really emotional.

But my favorite part of the awards is seeing all the amazing dresses on the red carpet. Here are my favorite looks :

Halle Berry, flawless as usual wearing my favorite designer Marchesa, a nude crystal encrusted dress and I must admit  I`m crazy about the  nude trend. Another trend last night was purple/violet dresses and loved Mila Kunis in that  lacy lavender, sheer, romantic  Elie Saab dress, Natalie Portman glooming in that purple off-the-shoulder Rodarte gown  and Cate Blanchett, elegant as always in a pale lavender silk chiffon Givenchy Couture gown.

Reese Witherspoon channeled ’60s Hollywood glamour in a black-and-white Giorgio Armani Prive dress and I just love her jewelry choice : both she and Annete Benning chose emerald earrings :

And saved the best for last, my favorite  Oscar red carpet appearance was……  Michelle Williams.

The “Blue Valentine” Best Actress nominee wore an embellished Chanel dress, nude makeup and Harry Winston diamond earrings.

I just loooooove it!

Who were your favorites?
